This is an open air restaurant in the grounds of the Luxor Hotel, behind Luxor Temple between McDonald's and the Mercure Inn. There is a sheltered area for when the wind is blowing or when the sun is at its hottest.
You don't come here for the view. This is a practical, no frills, place where you come because you want to eat. Food choice is fine, including western snacks and egyptian dishes. Prices are very keen indeed and the food and service are good.
Pop into the Ali Baba for a quick drink to enjoy the view then walk a few steps to the Sinbad to eat.
